Le projet a été conçu pour accueillir les Athlètes à l’occasion des Jeux Olympiques 2024, et se transformer ensuite en logements familiaux. Il se compose de deux bâtiments : l’un, en r+6 possède une structure poteaux-poutres bois organisé autour d’un noyau béton, l’autre en R+10 possède une structure mixte poteaux poutres et des façades en ossature bois. Les circulations — cages d’escalier et paliers — bénéficient dans les deux cas d’un éclairage naturel.
Les garde-corps des balcons du bâtiment R+6 sont entièrement personnalisables. Ce bâtiment bois intègre par ailleurs des systèmes de recyclage des eaux usées, des eaux pluviales et des déchets.
La réversibilité du programme a été intégrée dès la conception : les logements d’athlètes ont ainsi pu être transformés en logements familiaux par des interventions limitées — adjonction de cuisines et suppression ponctuelle d’une cloison entre deux chambres pour constituer un ensemble séjour-cuisine — sans aucune modification de la structure ni des distributions principales.
The project was designed to house athletes during the 2024 Olympic Games and will subsequently be converted into family housing. It consists of two buildings: one, a six-story structure, features a wood post-and-beam frame organized around a concrete core; the other, a ten-story structure, features a mixed post-and-beam frame with wood-frame facades. The circulation areas—stairwells and landings—benefit from natural lighting in both buildings.
The balcony railings on the six-story building are fully customizable. This wooden building also incorporates systems for recycling wastewater, rainwater, and waste.
The reversibility of the program was incorporated from the design phase: the athletes’ housing units could thus be converted into family housing with minimal modifications—adding kitchens and occasionally removing a partition between two bedrooms to create an open-plan living-dining-kitchen area—without any changes to the structure or the main layout.
