WWF – Château de Longchamp, Paris 16
Le projet de réhabilitation du château de Longchamp se veut représentatif des valeurs du WWF et de son engagement dans la protection de l’environnement. Il comprend la création d’un espace de rencontre sur l’écologie et le développement durable, ainsi qu’un ensemble de bureaux et de salles de formation.
Le principal signe visible de la rénovation du bâtiment est le jardin d’hiver installé au premier étage, sur la terrasse située au-dessus du volume de l’entrée. Il s’agit d’une construction légère en verre destinée à abriter une serre plantée, accessible aux visiteurs. Ce jardin d’hiver est conçu à la fois comme un espace tampon, comme un lieu de déambulation, et comme un symbole adressé aux visiteurs de l’Espace Planète Attitude. Il est également conçu pour pouvoir recevoir un dispositif innovant de filtration biologique de l’eau usée. Ce dispositif vient parachever le système de récupération d’eau pluviale prévu pour le projet.
The project involves the rehabilitation of the Chateau de Longchamp in Paris, an architectural ensemble left incomplete since 1910. The building is destined to house the Espace Planète Attitude, a cultural center for encounters on ecology and sustainable development. The project includes a conference and training center, restaurant, screening room, and offices.
The ecological transformation of the building is barely visible from the outside. The main sign of the building renovation is the winter garden installed in the north façade above the entrance –a light glass construction designed to serve as a greenhouse. The winter garden serves as a buffer zone to enhance the building’s insulation, a place for strolling and relaxation, and a symbol for the visitors.
